The Westermo TD-33 is an industrial PSTN modem. The modem has been
developed to be used in industrial applications and has features
that would not be found in a normal modem.
The TD-33 is approved for use across the European Union and USA.
The modem is ideal for use with PLC’s with its DIN rail mounting
and 12–36 V DC power requirements. The TD-33 has been tested
with most major brands of PLC and application sheets are available.
Terminal data rates of up to 230.4 kbit/s are supported using standard
data compression and error correction algorithms. The maximum line
modulation speed is 33.6 kbit/s connected to another TD-33 or standard
modem. The TD-33/V.90 supports the V.90 and K56flex™ modulation
techniques so can be used to achieve modulation speeds of up to
56 kbit/s if connecting to an ISP.
A watchdog facility continually monitors the power supply and internal
hardware. In the event of a problem the modem automatically resets.
This feature has been included to make the unit more suitable for
use in unmanned locations. |
