The Lynx 4xx/14xx family of fast/gigabit managed industrial
Ethernet switches are designed to satisfy the toughest
industrial environmental requirements. Lynx 4xx switches are
10/100BaseT while the Lynx 14xx switches are 10/100/1000BaseT.
All Westermo products, including the Lynx family of switches,
are ideally suited to applications where wide temperature,
vibration, power, and EMC specifications are a prerequisite.
The Lynx 4xx/14xx family offers read/write SNMP (Simple Network
Management Protocol) and port mirroring. These switches also
support a number of ring management protocols including RSTP
(Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol) and the ultra-fast FRNT v0 (Fast
Reconfiguration Network Topology) with 20mS network recovery
against fiber optic or network component failure. The real time
properties of Ethernet have been maintained in the Lynx by
incorporating both layer 2 and layer 3 priority support and HoL
(Head of Line) blocking prevention.
With flexible combinations of copper (TX) and fiber (FX) ports,
the Lynx family of switches can be configured for maximum
flexibility with the included Windows based tool. With galvanic
isolation, transient protection, LED diagnostic information, a
temperature range of -40OF to +185OF, 19-60 VDC dual redundant
power requirements and single action DIN rail mounting, these
Lynx switches simplify industrial installations.
