The Westermo MCW-211 is an industrial fiber to copper ethernet
media converter that converts data between a copper 10/100 TX
port and a fiber 100 FX port. It is designed to satisfy
industry’s demands for reliability and functionality in tough
environments with high levels of interference. It is approved
and supported for use in the North American, South American
and European Union markets, as well as in the other regions of
the world with a single unit.
The MCW-211 is particularly well suited for use in industrial
plants and production facilities as well as outdoor
applications. With galvanic isolation, transient protection,
LED diagnostic information, a temperature range of -13OF to
+185OF, 12-48 VDC dual redundant power requirements and single
action DIN rail mounting, it simplifies industrial
installations and increases their flexibility.
Configuration of the MCW-211 is easy because of the automatic
negotiation of both speed and duplex, as well as the automatic
detection of MDI/MDI-X and polarity. It is also possible to
set these manually using DIP switches located under the
protective cover. The FX side supports Far-End-Fault
indication which allows a link fault from either side to be
forwarded to the other side. |
