The DH+ units are available in MD-63 (point to point), LD-63 (multidrop) and LD-64 (redundant ring) versions. These units are specially designed to connect via
fiber optic cables equipment that is using Allen-Bradley’s Data Highway (DH+) or Remote I/O (RIO) interface.
The fiber optic cable is completely immune to external interference, which makes it ideal for harsh industrial environments. Another reason may be the need for a high level of security as fiber optic cable is very hard to tap. The DH+ units support all standard DH+, RIO data rates up to 230 kbit/s and is available in both multi- and single mode versions.
