The Westermo SA units are available in MD-63 (point to point) and
LD-63 (multidrop) versions. These units are specially designed
to connect via fiber optic equipment that is using ABB Sattbus
interface. The fiber optic cable is completely immune to external
interference, which makes it ideal for harsh industrial environments.
Another reason may be the need for a high level of security as
fiber optic cable is very hard to tap. The SA units are available
in both multi- and single mode versions. |
